Final meeting was held in January 2026 in Spain, at INTA main campus, where project partners presented the project final results in a two day meeting with the European Commission review panel. Day one was devoted to demonstrations, while day two focussed on the Consortium presentation of the main activities conducted and results achieved
Day 1 started with a showcase of the MiLi LiDAR prototype, designed, manufactured and integrated in the course of the project. The miniaturized MiLi laser was also presented, developed by the partner Integrated Optics UAB, also as part of MiLi. Finally, a tour to one of the INTA ISO 7 cleanrooms, where MiLi was integrated, was done. There, a demonstration of a laser beam steering system developed in the project was also demonstrated.
During day 2 all Work Packages were presented by the responsible partners including last year main technical activities and main project results. Project was very successful showing clear achievement of TRL 4 in all key LiDAR technologies, with clear path towards TRL 5. Thanks to EU partners and consortium members, the MiLi LiDAR was validated in the field (specifically the visible photon counting mode), turning out in a promising technology for a hypothetical future mission to the surface of Mars.
